Welcome to the Sacrament of Baptism
At CCBN, we are honored that you have chosen to have your child baptized within our parish family. Baptism is the beginning of your child's sacramental journey and a beautiful first step in a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
Through Baptism, your child becomes a member of the Church and is united with the Body of Christ. As parents, you are making a beautiful and important commitment to help your child grow in faith and come to know the love of God.
Your Role as Parents
Choosing Baptism for your child is more than celebrating a special day. It is a commitment to raising your child in the Catholic faith and helping them grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
As Catholic parents, you are your child's first teachers of faith. Through your example, prayer, participation in the life of the Church, and the values you share at home, you help your child discover who God created them to be.
Because Baptism is a sacrament and a profound encounter with God, the Church asks parents and godparents to prepare for this important responsibility. Baptismal preparation helps families understand the meaning of the sacrament and the commitment they are making to help their child grow in the Catholic faith.
Baptism for Children
Infant Baptism is available for children up to six years of age.
Children who have already celebrated their seventh birthday are invited to prepare for Baptism through our OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation of Children) program. This process is designed to help children understand and actively participate in their journey of faith.
Baptism for Adults
If you are an unbaptized adult and would like to learn more about becoming Catholic, we invite you to contact Rebecca Cambria, Director of Discipleship, at 716-875-8102 or by email at [email address] to learn more about OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), formerly known as RCIA.
1. Complete the Baptism Request Form

2. Review the Godparent Requirements
Please read the requirements for godparents using the link below.
3. Complete Baptismal Preparation
Once your request form has been received, Deacon Bill will contact you by email with the next steps. If required, you will be scheduled to attend a baptismal preparation class.
4. Select Your Godparents and Submit Required Documents
Choose your child's godparents and provide any required documentation.
5. Schedule the Baptism
Once all preparation and documentation are complete, call the CCBN Central Office at 716-875-8102 to schedule your child's Baptism.

Baptism is a joyful celebration of God's love and the beginning of your child's life within the Catholic Church. We are grateful to walk alongside your family as you take this important step in your child's journey of faith.
Baptisms are held for registered members of the parish the second and third Sunday of each month, and a short series of classes in preparation for baptism are required for first time parents. If you have any questions, please contact the parish office.
