A Letter from Fr. Joe Tokasz to our Family of Parishes

Information about All Saints Parish

February 19, 2024

Dear Catholic Community of Buffalo, North,

I received news this past week, that after a meeting of the College of Consultors and the Presbyteral Council of the Diocese of Buffalo, both advisory councils to Bishop Michael Fisher, a decision regarding the future of All Saints parish has been made.

All Saints Parish has been dealing with challenges concerning its parish property and buildings as well as its finances for over two years. Particularly the condition of its school building and parish’s financial stability and longevity. They have made great efforts over the past year in striving to increase contributions and raise fundraising efforts.

However, the decision has been made after the proper consultations that the entirety of the All Saints property will be put up for sale. Once an offer for the property is received, the parish will be merged into another parish community. This news was shared with the All Saints Parish Community yesterday morning.

This is extremely difficult news for our brothers and sisters of All Saints Parish to receive and they are grieving and mourning during this time. I would ask that you keep these members of our Catholic Community of Buffalo, North in your prayers. I also ask that you pray as well for our discernment of the difficult decisions and tasks ahead.

May God Bless You All,

Rev. Joseph W. Tokasz
Parish Administrator
Catholic Community of Buffalo North
